Nathan was born in Solihull, attended Water Orton Primary School and The Coleshill Secondary School. During his time at primary school, Nathan excelled at sports days resulting with his teacher Miss Fitzpatrick urging him to join an athletics club. At the age of 11, Nathan became a member of Tamworth A.C.
